Usborne Books giveaway! - CLOSED!

UPDATE: THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED! Congratulations to Candice, mummy2jj and SquiggleMum for winning!

About a month back, we did a giveaway post focusing on what your parents did to bond with you, and 106 comments later it was clear that most of you had parents that loved to bond with you, and did lots of fun stuff with you as children. It was really touching.

I (Mr Couch) personally think one of the best things you can do with your kids is read with them. Not only is there a profound impact on your child's intellectual development, there are huge bonding issues that are fulfilled when you take 20 minutes out of a busy day to enjoy the written word with your children.

And, there ain't no better way to do it than with a book like this: Usborne Books Illustrated Classics for Boys. With six classic stories for boys (aimed at six years old and up), like Robin Hood, Gulliver and Robinson Crusoe, and with beautiful illustrations that are just bound to enthrall your little ones, this will be a perfect way to spend some quality time with your kids AND enhance their literary skills!

Usborne Children's Books Australia is giving three lucky winners the chance to win one of these gems!

Just leave a comment telling us your favourite book as a child! Doesn't have to be one your parents read to you, just something that appealed to you when you were young. For me it was the Famous Five. But that's probably because I'm daggy. Maybe.

Entries go into a random draw!

Here's the fine print:

  • Open to Australian residents only
  • Giveaway closes October 19th 2009

  2. Mrs Couch asked me the same question! I told her there's no direct translation but it kind of means uncool, nerdy...that sort of thing.

Talk to the brown couch. If it talks back, see a therapist.
