Pre-Back to School Thingy GIVEAWAY!

Photobucket

Update;Congratulations Gianna, on winning the ReBinder Back to School kit!

Update: THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!

Update: I can't believe you people do all that recycling. Y'all have put me to shame! - Mr Couch

See that countdown up there? It's ticking. Not just for the Back to School Thingy, but for, you know, actually getting the kids back to school.

Now, we all know the environment is a global concern these days, and that if something is not done soon, collectively and responsibly, the world will soon look like this. And me personally, I'm not one for environmental apocalypse. So, we all have to do our part!

And I mean, on a daily basis. You don't have to go all Al Gore; there are effective and time-efficient methods of helping the planet along on its merry jaunt around the sun which you can use, with little effort.
Photobucket
Now, the good people at ReBinder know this. They're plugged in to the green nation. And they also know that you're sending kids back to school soon, and they'll use a lot of paper products. So, whaddaya know! They've decided to help you out.

ReBinder is giving away one of their Back to School Kits, valued at $44.99, which includes:

1 1.5” ReBinder recycled 3 ring binder
2 ReBinder replacement covers
6 RePouch recycled slash pocket dividers
6 RePocket eco-friendly pocket folders

2 ReWrite 8x10 recycled notebooks with graph paper
2 ReWrite 5x8 Recycled notebooks with blank paper
3 ReMark eco-pens
6 ReSleeve recycled CD sleeves
3 RePlay recycled CD cases

Here are the details:

- To enter, just leave a comment telling us in what way you are (or will soon be) contributing to helping the environment!

- This is a random draw - click the e3 at the top of the page to find out how to get extra entries!

- Entries close midnight August 13, 2009

- Open to US residents only!

So get your entries in! And get ready for more great giveaways (including more from ReBinder) during the Back to School Thingy!

The ways we help the environment are turn off unnecessary lights, watch our water usage, and "bundle" errands together for using the least amount of gas.

At my house, which is VERY active, I have 6 sons and a husband, who is a really BIG kid. We try different things to help the environment. We save all of our pop cans and when we have a car load or two, we bring them to the recycling center. The kids are able to see the recycling center, they are aware that they have done something good for the environment, they are allowed to see that there is a monetary value as well to recycling pop can. With that money, they are allowed a treat and then the rest goes toward our vacation later on in the year. We only go to places we can afford from our savings.

Over the last year, I've become increasingly diligent in my efforts to recycle, reuse and nurture nature. I don't throw jars away, I use the for storage. I don't throw old clothes away, I use them to make blankets and throws. I really cannot stand putting anything in the trash anymore!
