Ah, spelling. Who loves it? I remember one spelling bee in grade school where a huge chocolate bunny was the grand prize. Yeah, chocolate is a fantastic incentive!
How's your child with their spelling? Needing some help. Let me tell you about Spell Quizzer. Perhaps you don't have the time to quiz your child their spelling words. This will save you time, freeing you up to make dinner and finish folding the laundry. In a few minutes, you (parent or teacher) create an audio recording of the spelling words. SpellQuizzer walks them through their spelling list by playing each word's sound recording and displaying a reminder phrase for each word. Click here to see a demonstration. SpellQuizzer is a spelling program for helping children master their spelling and vocabulary.
As a former 5th/6th grade teacher, I can see how this would be a terrific resource for the classroom. I wish I had known about this then. I would have been able to prepare the word lists ahead of time and had the students practice at the computer. Also, parents would have been able to put the word lists in their home computers, giving each student more study time. I think this would work well in a home school classroom, as well.
