So, a while back we did an Usborne Books giveaway - three copies of Illustrated Classics for Boys.But you know, Usborne, being the generous and wonderfully-committed-to-not-just-boys-literary-development people that they are, also have an Illustrated Classics for Girls.
Who knew!
Simply yet effectively illustrated, ICFG includes timeless tales such as the story of Heidi, Little Women and the Wizard of Oz. This is a great way to bring the classics home, and in the process, teach your little one to love reading. Fight the electronic invasion while they're young and impressionable, that's what I say.

I don't really remember what I liked when I was super-young, fairy-tale age, but I do remember loving The Phantom Tollbooth. I read that over and over again.
