Shandle Giveaway - Ends November 15th!

UPDATE: THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED! Winners: Xenia, Sandra, Susan, Anna, Lisa, Congratulations!

We all know the benefits of hand washing, but I bet if we asked ten parents of potty-trained kids whether it's a tough ask to get their kids to do same, ten would raise their hands and nod dejectedly. Or at least, wearily.

Seat goes up...

And...yes! Seat goes down!
But Shandle's here with an interesting little device called...a Shandle, believe it or not. The Shandle is like a little lever which sticks to your toilet seat - it's strong enough to be used under the lid or the seat itself and functions a) as a hygenic way to lift the seat and b) to remind your little ones to wash their hands post-number one or number two.

With a squillion cute and appealing-to-kiddies designs which encourage kids to wash, you're covered when it comes to raising a Hygenic Harry. Or Clean Clarissa. Or Germ-free Gerry (I'll stop now).

And, because Shandle are such delightfully wonderful people, they're giving away five (yes, I said FIVE!!!) Shandles to YOU, BCE readers. Yes, five indeed.

To enter just leave a comment telling us which character on a Shandle, would have encouraged you to wash your hands. For example: if I (Mr Couch) as a kid, had seen a Chewbacca, He-Man or Voltron on a Shandle encouraging me to wash my hands, I'd have DONE IT!

We'll draw five winners randomly for this one.

Here are the details:
  • Open to USA only
  • Giveaway closes November 15th, 2009

I think the monkey would encourage my son to wash his hands. He potty trained himself at 20mths after he saw monkeys peeing at the zoo! Yay for monkeys!

If I won one of these I'd stick my daughter in front of the screen and let her pick her favorite - anything to get her to wash her hands! However, for now I think that "Monkey Loves Her Bananas" or "When Pigs Fly" might be at the top of the list.

When I was young, I was a big fan of Wonder Woman! So I'm sure she would have encouraged me to be clean.

I think my kids would really like the Monster Pirate.
