WIN! WIN! WIN! an Event!

You may have noticed, things are hotting up around here, with three events coming up soon:

the Back to School Thingy (August 15 - September 27)

the Chaotic Kristy Baby Shower (September 27- October 11)

the Housewarming (October 28 - November 3)

Ah. yes. All that fun. Mr Couch can't sleep at night, just thinking about it.

But, because we're just such generous people, we want to keep doing events. So, we're giving one away. All neatly-wrapped up in frivolity and the lustre of anticipation, we're offering a green package to one lucky winner!

A green package includes:

• a custom-designed banner, stickied on BCE's home page for the length of the event (up to two weeks!)
• two 200x200px teaser buttons
• one 200x200px ad button
• a landing page on BCE
  

Now, to win, we want you to tell us what kind of event you want. Be creative, be crazy. For instance, Mr Couch's event would be to celebrate his 10,146th coffee. Mrs Couch's event would be the Brilliant Bubblegum event. The best, funniest and most creative entry wins!

The Back to School Thingy - Like a humungous asteroid coming to wipe out all of mankind in a fiery ball of apocalyptic fury, the Back to School Thingy is on its way, and you can't escape it. It begins August 15 and ends up September 27 and we are currently planning all the:

The Chaotic Kristy Baby Shower - Like something else that's coming, this one is scheduled for September 27, and will finish October 11. Hot on the Heels of the Mommie Daze Virtual Baby Shower, this will be filled with reviews, games and all manner of pre-natal tomfoolery and shenanigans. That's right, shenanigans.

The Housewarming - Mr Couch's good friend is moving house this very day. So, in celebration we're holding an online housewarming party! Details to come but be assured, it'll be some particular brand of fun.

The Launch...and a bit about us

Hello, and welcome to brown couch events!

This is probably your first time visiting this page...so let us introduce you to what we do.

We are a husband and wife team, who in the jetsream of the brilliant Mommie Daze Virtual Baby Shower, decided to set up a blog dedicated to online events. Everyone celebrates events in their lives, from the significant (birthdays, weddings, housewarmings) to the mundane (getting audited)...what we're here for is to help you celebrate them! We bring people together, in a warm and fuzzy non-corporate way, so that you can participate in World Coffee Day meaningfully and socially, without leaving the comfort of your wifi. (Does anyone know if there is such a thing as World Coffee Day? There should be.) So, if throwing an event party sounds good to you, check out our event packages, introductorily-priced!

We also want to issue a shout also to all those in business, looking for an innovative and organic way of reaching your target. Sponsors are always welcome to contact us, either to provide products for an upcoming event (check our front page regularly to see what's coming) or to schedule a new event. Alternatively, if you are looking for a dynamic site on which to place your logo/button, we are growing and offer competitive advertising packages. We work well with those in business, because we know what's important to you. We're efficient, polite and we always respond promptly to e-mails.

Our first two events coming are the Back to School Thingy, and the Chaotic Kristy Baby Shower, both of which promise to be hugely fun. Check back for updates!

You're done moving...the traditionally-unkempt moving guys have left (including the one who took a final glance at the place, grimly smirked and gave you a knowing 'better you than me' look) and as the dust settles on the boxes in each room, you realise the sun is setting and you're in your new house all alone...and what was that sound? Did that come from upstairs...? So, you go look...

The Housewarming, a BCE production will be grabbing you by the pit of your stomach this Halloween! Beginning October 28 and winding down November 3, the Housewarming promises to help you relive every creak, every groan, every shadow in the dark that haunted you in your new house!

In true BCE style there'll be games, competitions, giveaways*, and a whole lot of fun. Check back for updates and get ready!
